Some people chase the podium. Some people chase the person in the inflatable dinosaur costume. Both belong here. On October 23, Sprints takes over Sawyer Point after dark for our first-ever 5K — 3.1 miles under the lights, a start line that doesn't care how fast you are, and a finish line that treats everybody like they won.

Do I have to be fast?+
Not even a little. Wicked Fast. Dead Last. is built for every pace — run it, jog it, or walk it. The start line doesn't care how fast you are, and the finish line treats everybody like they won.
Are costumes required?+
Encouraged, never required. Show up in full Halloween getup or just your favorite Sprints kit — both belong here. There's a best-costume callout at the awards, so it pays to commit. Just keep your vision clear and skip anything that could trip you or another runner.
What do I get?+
Every runner — in person or virtual — gets the exclusive event hat and a finisher's medal. In-person runners also get last-chance access to the limited-edition Sprints Halloween collection, plus the afterparty (live DJ, photo ops).
Where and when?+
Sawyer Point Park, 705 E Pete Rose Way, Cincinnati, OH — Friday, October 23, 2026. Packet pickup opens at 5:30 PM, the gun goes off at 7 PM, and awards + afterparty run from about 8:15 PM.
Can't make it in person?+
Run the virtual 5K from anywhere, any pace, on your own clock. You still get the exclusive hat and finisher's medal shipped to you. Register by October 16, 2026 so your gear ships in time.
Where do I park?+
Several pay lots surround Sawyer Point, plus limited metered street parking nearby — and both fill up fast on event nights. Arrive early or reserve ahead through an app like SpotHero. Parking is the full responsibility of each participant.
Is the race timed?+
Yes — it's chip-timed through RunSignup, with results posted after the race.
When and where is packet pickup?+
Race-day pickup runs 5:30–6:45 PM at Sawyer Point.
Is there bag check?+
No bag check this year, so plan to travel light or leave belongings with a friend.
Can I bring a stroller, walker, or dog?+
Strollers, walkers welcome. Dogs are not permitted for your safety and the safety of other participants.
What if the weather's bad?+
The run happens rain or shine. In the event of severe weather, participants will be notified of contingency plan via email.
What's your refund policy?+
Refunds are not allowed for this race.
The front of the pack is overrated.
